Megan Scheidt named 2019 WIAA Scholar Athlete
Megan Scheidt who has been named a 2019 WIAA Scholar Athlete! Megan was one of 32 recipients out of more than 800 nominations submitted for this prestigious award. Over the past 19 years, two other Aquinas student-athletes have received this award: Madeline Hupert in 2012 and Sloan Kessler in 2011. Megan and the other 31 recipients will be honored at a ceremony.

Congratulations to Matthew Waters and Suzanne Gorman for being selected FOR 2019 WSMA Music Project.
The 2019 WSMA High School State Honors Music Project audition results have come in. This year, more than 1,400 students auditioned for 428 positions in five ensembles. Matthew Waters and Suzanne Gorman where selected to perform in the Orchestra. They will attend a week-long camp this summer and perform in Madison during late October as part of the Wisconsin State Music Conference.

Dallas String Quartet 
Orchestra students from AHS got to attend and play with the Dallas String Quartet in West Salem. DSQ is an international music sensation. They perform a fusion of classical and contemporary music on both traditional and electric strings.

Will Grob places 11th at state level National Geographic GeoBee!
Will Grob represented Aquinas Catholic Schools in the 2019 National Geographic Geobee. This past weekend in Madison, WI Will placed 11th at the state level. Students in grades four through eight from nearly 10,000 schools across the United States are competing in the 2019 National Geographic GeoBee for a chance to win college scholarships and the glory of being the National Geographic GeoBee Champion.

Lexi Donarski makes All-State First Team.
Congratulations to Lexi Donarski she has earned a spot on The Associated Press All-State first team this year, a decision made by a statewide panel of voters. We would also like to say congratulations to Dave Donarski who was nominated for state coach of the year. Way to go Blugolds!

"Disney The Lion King JR".
On Thursday, April 4th, the Aquinas Middle School Drama Club students will be performing at 6:30 p.m. in the Aquinas Theater. There is no charge for the performance but free will offerings are certainly accepted at the door. There are no ticket sales for this performance. There is no reserved seating. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for seating on a first come first serve basis. A reception will follow in the commons. Thank you for supporting our drama club. Please come and enjoy the show!!!

Winners of Junior Achievement Halogenerators:
Congratulations to our Aquinas High School students who competed at the Junior Achievement Competition yesterday. Junior Achievement's purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Our students won over $3,830 in scholarship money. The following students walked away with awards: First and second place teams go to State Championships in Sheboygan on May 3, 2019.

Annual District Piano Solo/Ensemble Competition at Onalaska Luther.
AHS students compete at the highest level where they receive comments and are rated by a judge. We are so proud that all six entries from Aquinas will compete at Viterbo on May 4th for the final State Competition. The following soloists will be advancing: Maddie Belland, Olivia Belland, Daniel Del-Carpio, Ethan Nott, and Harry Xu. Maddie and Olivia Belland also advanced to State on their piano duet.

Congratulations again to our Aquinas Girls Basketball Team on their State Title!
There will be a welcome home celebration at Aquinas High School at 8:30 PM tonight for the State Champion Girls Basketball Team.
